Day Six, a day of TRICKS!

More tricks were added to the show today! I’m now doing TWO different tricks in the show, but that’s all I can tell you at the moment. I’m very glad to be utilized in what has been one of my favorite parts of the show in the past. Lots of goofing around today at rehearsal trying to sort out different tricks, a lot of laughter, and another number completely staged. There are a LOT of neat tricks and some other things that I haven’t seen yet because I’m either upside down or being carried around on someone’s shoulders. Wait, did I say too much? 😝  I’m really sore, but still having a great time.

I also got to swing in to the show tonight for the flugel horn solo during our second run through. The featured soloist is incredible, so swinging in to his spot is definitely intimidating. I’m currently marching and playing a total of… 44 counts of music? The rest is all dancing, standing, or prop pushing! 😂  I’m having a great time and I’m trying to soak up as much material as possible while our designers are here. We should be seeing a different team of designers each week and I’m excited about learning from such a variety of approaches. Michael and Curtis have been so great to learn from in our first week!

WOW first week is almost over! And we’ve gotten so much done! AND WE HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO DO! Four more weeks!
